I've had a profitable business for 13 years. Started it myself and built it to a maximum of 42 employees at it's biggest. Then COVID hit. Zero revenue March to now and shutting down. Yes, we wouldn't have shut down if we could have kept operating but that would have been illegal and possibly (highly indirectly) caused deaths. Looks like, yes, we will have to shut down the business. We're not declaring bankruptcy - we're paying all our bills as we close, but the business is dead. We can't afford to keep paying the rent or resupply at this point. Yup, that's why this is a disaster. A real disaster. That doesn't mean we get to ignore whatever laws we need to keep being profitable.

Seriously, a lot of Democrats are also in the pockets of major corporations. AOC is really good at communicating why money has come to dominate politics and why it is bad. But, a lot of Democrats like money being in politics because they like getting money.
