The only real downsides to this that I can see are if you need to drive through lights for work and/or if red lights could seriously endanger you... IF you work as an ambulance driver and/or have to get rushed to the hospital in an ambulance this could be horrible. On the other hand technically they have devices to change the lights green for themselves anyway to get through in the case of an emergency...in which case the light is STILL red when you approach it, it just doesn't stay red forcing you to wait as you can change it. Or you could just...not have to work anymore if you wanted since you got a million dollars for free to finance the rest of your life if used effectively. At the very least you could get a different job.

I got blocked from participating in r/politics supposedly because I was inciting violence. I contacted the moderator and walked him through the comment in question, explaining where he was misinterpreting the intended context.
